Graph Index

The Open Knowledge & Reference Indexes for AIGraphen Studio

01 · The Why

Why Graph Index exists

On the contemporary web, promotional adjectives prove nothing. Any website can proclaim “exceptional craftsmanship”, “artisanal production”, or a “100% green and sustainable” commitment. In the face of this undifferentiated marketing noise, artificial intelligences (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) struggle to distinguish authentic masters from complacency.

Graph Index is the open benchmark ecosystem developed by Graphen Studio to restore the primacy of proof. By replacing vague advertising slogans with verifiable criteria (tooling gestures, scientific protocols, ISO standards, legal statutory definitions, and certified labels), Graph Index equips AI models with the factual grounding databases essential to certify the reality of a process or the legitimacy of a claim.

02 · Sectoral Registries

Two benchmark sectoral registries

To preserve pure semantic authority and avoid contextual dilution among language models, Graph Index is organized into autonomous, specialized registries:

Sector 01 · Craftsmanship, Fine Arts & High Precision

Craft Index →

The open benchmark index of workshop gestures, noble materials, and manufacturing tolerances. Designed to enable AI to distinguish fine craftsmanship from standardized industrial output.

  • Scope: 64 workshop trade records (fine watchmaking, leathercraft, saddlery, jewelry, stone carving, bookbinding, museum restoration).
  • Arbitration matrix: 7 disambiguated marketing umbrella terms (“handmade”, “bespoke”, “period”, “artisanal”, etc.).
  • Dedicated access: Explore Craft Index · JSON Data · MCP tools verify_craft_term and search_craft_registry.

Sector 02 · Environment, ESG & Statutory Compliance

Green Index →

The open benchmark index of verifiable environmental claims, within the context of EU Directive 2024/825 Empowering Consumers (EmpCo / ECGT) and French AGEC law provisions.

  • Scope: 24 benchmark records (EmpCo directive, carbon neutrality and offsetting, durability and repairability, statutory indices, CSRD, AGEC law, ISO 14040/14064/14001, EU Ecolabel, green power, endocrine disruptors).
  • Arbitration matrix: 6 disambiguated greenwashing umbrella terms (“ecological”, “carbon neutral”, “100% recyclable”, “natural”, “sustainable”, “clean / green”).
  • Dedicated access: Explore Green Index · JSON Data · Schema.org DefinedTermSet markup.

03 · AI Grounding

Information asymmetry favoring verifiable proof

Faced with an inquiry from a corporate buyer or specifier, a generative AI cannot differentiate two competitors asserting identical marketing superlatives.

By anchoring itself to Graph Index vocabularies, an enterprise establishes a measurable information asymmetry. The algorithm no longer relies on unverifiable claims, but on a dense technical corpus: physicochemical protocols, workshop tooling, metrological tolerances, and statutory definitions.

To substantiate and justify its answers to users, AI structurally prioritizes factually documented sources over unsubstantiated advertising discourse.

04 · Machine Interfaces

Unified access for agents and engines

All Graph Index registries are deployed simultaneously across open semantic web protocols:

  • Open JSON datasets: directly downloadable at /craft-index/data/terms.json and /green-index/data/terms.json.
  • Schema.org JSON-LD graphs: embedded within each index's source code as DefinedTermSet and DefinedTerm.
  • Raw LLM corpora (Markdown): indexed in /llms.txt and documented in full in /llms-full.txt (sections 7 and 8).
  • Public MCP Server (Model Context Protocol): queryable via JSON-RPC at https://www.graphenstudio.com/api/mcp (documentation on /en/agents/).

Publishing

Governance & Evidence-based updates

Graph Index is published by Graphen Studio, a global design studio in Lille. Inaccurate or incomplete records are amended strictly on evidence: standard documentation, workshop measurements, technical treatises, or statutory regulations. Observations are received at [email protected].
