Case Study
A screening space crafted for moving images
Based in Brussels, Studio 47 directs brand films, advertising campaigns, and photography series for international luxury houses. On the web, production companies often encounter the same hurdle: third-party video players that bog down navigation and silent pages lacking written anchors for search engines.
We designed this site as a stripped-down screening room: sequences launch with zero latency, the interface yields completely to the image, and each film is enriched with production notes shedding light on set craft.
01 · Video Catalog
Previews that launch instantly, free of third-party players
Clips are hosted and streamed natively, without relying on Vimeo or YouTube. On cursor hover, a silent loop immediately reveals the film grain, lighting, and editing rhythm without buffering the full file.
Over 70% lighter than standard embeds, the catalog maintains instant responsiveness across desktop and mobile.

02 · On-Set Journal
Documenting optical choices, lighting, and staging
Beyond the finished film, art directors and brand commissioners look to understand how a crew operates on set. An editorial journal extends the portfolio through concise making-of narratives.
Anamorphic lens tests, natural light management, or camera rig configurations: these entries highlight the studio’s technical mastery while supplying valuable editorial context for search and indexing.

03 · Talents & Indexing
Structuring credits for search engines and AI assistants
Every director and cinematographer represented by the studio has a dedicated profile connecting visual style, filmography, and core specialties. Behind the scenes, these pages are tagged with structured schema (credits, clients, camera formats, filming locations).
Where video alone remains opaque to web crawlers, this structured semantic tagging allows Google and AI search engines to accurately associate Studio 47 with brand and agency inquiries.

04 · Screening Room
Full-frame viewing calibrated for color grading and sound
When a visitor opens a film, the page shifts to deep black to preserve contrast and color fidelity. No sound is forced upon entry: viewers start playback when ready, after which the interface gently fades out.
With one click, they can consult the technical sheet, examine shot breakdowns, or glide to the next production.

05 · Photography
Three viewing modes for still campaigns and location scouting
Still photography—print campaigns, still life, and location scouting diaries—holds equal footing alongside motion picture production.
A responsive grid toggles seamlessly from an editorial mosaic to a structured list or contact sheet view, giving each series the room to breathe with the understated composure of a photo book.
